Pianist Mao Weihui, a child star of 1980s movies, was born into a musical family and began learning to play the piano at the age of three. She debuted with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra when she was only 14 and furthered her studies in the United States. She has played under world-renowned conductors such as Joseph Silverstein, Robert Debbaut and Jon Robertson.
