Mercedes sales up

German luxury sedan producer Mercedes-Benz said it sold a record 5,400 vehicles in April in China, a 72 percent year-on-year increase. The April figures are also higher than the overall auto market and competitors. During the first four months of the year, Mercedes-Benz delivered 16,500 units to customers in the Chinese mainland, a year-on-year growth of 40 percent.
