Playing to a standing ovation, Indian tabla player Zakir Hussain and sitar player Niladri Kumar rang down the curtains on the World Music Shanghai 2009 at the Oriental Art Center last Tuesday. It was probably the best example of world music that the festival presented: authentic, exotic, and appealing to a broad audience.
