Retired army dad leaves 92 yuan for children

A retired army corps commander, who earned just more than 8,000 yuan ($1,173) a month, apparently donated most of his savings to poor students, leaving just 92 yuan for his family.

Yue Kun, 85, joined the army during the War of Resistance Against Japan (1937-1945) and passed away at a military rest home in the Tianjin municipality on Feb 26. His children, including two laid-off workers, were surprised.
