Stocks soar to new high
Chinese stocks rose for a seventh day on Friday, with the Shanghai Composite Index advancing 28.20 points, or 1.1 percent, to close at 2,625.65. The winning streak is the longest since the seven days ending March 24. The CSI 300 Index, added 0.8 percent to 2,789.22. The Shanghai Composite has jumped 44 percent this year.
