Wie still seeks first LPGA title

China Daily | Updated: 2009-05-07 08:07

WILLIAMSBURG, Virginia: Michelle Wie, the LPGA rookie best known for her attempts to make the cut among the men as a teen, enters the $2.2 million LPGA Michelob Ultra Open still seeking her first pro title.

Wie has six top-five finishes in LPGA majors but none since the 2006 US Open as she has struggled to match her younger form. The Hawaiian of Korean heritage ranks only 22nd on this season's money list with $142,756.

"I definitely learned a lot but I'm at the point where I'm done looking at the past and trying to see whether I could have done better. It's really no use. You learn from the past. You take what you need and you move forward.
