Stimulus spending

The Chinese government has spent 420 billion yuan of its stimulus package by far, more than a third of the 1.18 trillion yuan it committed to provide from its coffers by 2010, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said yesterday.

Mu Hong, deputy director of NDRC said the central government has allocated 300 billion yuan for major infrastructure projects and other programs concerning healthcare and welfare housing.
