After 35 years, dogs and cats remain part of her life

A 72-year-old woman has adopted and cared for about 100 stray dogs and cats throughout the past 35 years. She currently takes care of a dozen.

Li Xiuying has used the little money she and her husband earned from collecting garbage to feed the animals. She first collected abandoned dogs and cats in 1974 and cares for them at her home in Changchun, Jilin province.
