Woman transfers bank savings over to con artists

A Guangzhou woman surnamed Chu was tricked into turning over 2.48 million yuan ($363,151) to a gang that pretended they were calling from the phone company.

Chu, of Guangzhou's Yuexiu district, was told during a phone call that she owed lots of money to the phone company. After she said it's not true, the caller tricked her into believing someone stole her ID card and opened an account.
