Experts to help overhaul industries

GUANGZHOU: More than 6,000 experts will be recruited to Pearl River Delta (PRD) companies to assist in a technological overhaul of the Guandong province economy.
Under the Science and Technology Commissioners' Action in Enterprises program, the experts will be assigned to 923 companies as the government pushes to upgrade its manufacturing-based industry.
The province has grown rapidly in the last 30 years because of numerous labor-intensive manufacturing businesses.
