Disaster officials in court

The trials of 18 officials accused of corruption after a landslide killed at least 277 people will soon begin in two courts, it was announced yesterday. The suspects include Sang Haiming, former deputy director of the provincial administration of land and resources; Wang Youshun, former head of the Linfen municipal work safety supervision administration; the deputy head of Xiangfen county, and officials with municipal, county and village authorities.
