Touches of French class

By Chen Jie | China Daily | Updated: 2009-04-25 08:07

The annual Piano aux Jacobins Festival, hosted by the Forbidden City Concert Hall, has introduced many French pianists to Beijing. They include 28-year-old Bertrand Chamayou who impressed the local audience with his refined sonority, wonderful technique and poetic emotion in 2006.

On Sunday night, the young French pianist will return to once again share his stage charisma and virtuosity.

He will play Ravel's sonata, Weber's Invitation to Dance, Mendelssohn's On Wings of Song, and Schumann's Carnaval, besides other pieces.
