Faking brand names

Among the 99 criminal cases prosecuted in the past 15 months for intellectual property rights infringement, 67 involved the copying of name brands, the Municipal Prosecutor's Office announced yesterday.

The brands copied include Chung Hua, Nike, Boss, LV, Rolex, Rado and Omega. The 33 cases Pudong district prosecutors' office proceeded within the past three years were worth 93 million yuan.
