Science to revive economy

Lu Yongxiang, Presdient of Chinese Academy of Sciences, has urged academics to consider the interaction between science and economic development at a forum yesterday.

"Science and technology play an increasingly important role as the country strives to build a low-carbon economy and innovative society amid the worsening of global finances and climate change," he said. "More than ever, science and technology are interrelated with energy, economy and environment."
