Avalanche kills 7 soldiers
An army spokesman says an avalanche has killed seven soldiers in India-controlled Kashmir.
Colonel K. Umamaheswar says the army rescued eight soldiers who were partially buried by the cascading snow yesterday, at their post at an altitude of 4,260 meters in the Shasmbari forest area.
