16 held over Guangzhou park attack

GUANGZHOU: Guangzhou police have arrested 16 suspects involved in violent activity in the city a week ago and are still trying to track down those at large.

Officers confiscated a slew of tools used in acts of crime, including a pistol and bullets, the news office of the public security bureau said yesterday.

According to a bulletin released on the official website of the municipal police, the suspects were arrested in the cities of Shenzhen, Huizhou and Chaozhou from last Saturday to early yesterday morning.
