Ex-official gets jail
Yang Jinfu, former vice-director of the Guizhou provincial department of labor and social security, has been given 12 years in jail for taking bribes.
Yang, 54, was charged with taking 872,000 yuan ($127,000) during May 2006 and January last year. In return, he used his authority to approve the establishment of vocational training schools for migrant workers, according to the court.
