A royal view
An ongoing exhibition, China Through the Eyes of Thai Princess Sirindhorn, captures the changes in China over the past three decades through the lens of Princess Sirindhorn, who has visited the country 26 times. It is on at the World Art Museum of China Millennium Monument, and closes tomorrow.
On display are 119 photos, the first part of which records impressive moments from the Beijing Olympic Games. The second part is a photographic diary of the Princess' previous travels in Beijing, Shanghai, Guizhou province, Xinjiang Uygur and Tibet autonomous regions. She not only focuses on the picturesque landscapes but also on ordinary life by training her lens on staff on the train, monks and villagers.
