Rush hour

Why would anyone want to plummet down to what may seem like certain death?
Ask any bungee jumper, and they will say it is all about the incredible adrenalin rush. This is definitely a sport only for the fit and brave. But those who dare are guaranteed to have the time of their life.
It may seem that bungee jumping is a relatively new sport, but 1,500 years ago, it was actually seen as vine jumping and performed as a coming-of-age ritual in the South Pacific island nation of Vanuatu. The islanders would erect towers and then select the strongest vines to use as their equivalent of the modern bungee cord.
