The play Romeo and Zhu Yingtai is a love story set in 1930s Shanghai. It is created by playwright Ning Caishen and director He Nian, and premiered last year. The play hopes to attract a larger audience than in the past with a venue that is a lot bigger than the Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center.
