Police arrest man over false kidnapping report
A man in Luonan county, Shaanxi province, was arrested on Monday after he tried to test his girlfriend's loyalty by faking his own kidnapping.
The man surnamed Li called his girlfriend and said he was kidnapped by someone in Xi'an, the province's capital city, on March 19. She reported the news to police.
