Although Buddhism is an ancient religion that seeks otherworldly happiness, it seems more concerned with the secular world today. This is evident as the ongoing world financial crisis became one of the most-discussed topics among monks and Buddhism experts from some 50 countries and regions who gathered at the second World Buddhist Forum, held from March 28 to April 1 in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, and Taipei.
