China Daily | Updated: 2009-04-08 08:01

Germany's Commerzbank is preparing to issue an offer document to a "handful" of potential investors in General Motors' Opel unit, the Financial Times reported yesterday, citing sources close to the automaker.

The paper said that up to seven investors had expressed an interest in taking a stake in GM's European business, of which Opel forms the core.

It said Commerzbank, which GM has hired to find a new investor in Opel, could send out the offer memorandum as soon as this week, the sources told the paper.
