Chan's latest movie skips the mainland

Filmgoers will be disappointed to learn that Jackie Chan's Shinjuku Incident will not be shown in mainland cinemas.
Director Derek Yee denies that censors were responsible - he told Shanghai-based Dongfang Daily that the film did not even go through the censors.
Yee, who has been a senior director/producer on 13 movies, five of which received mainland releases, says he first aimed to put out a special edition for the Chinese mainland, which has no ratings system. He gave up on the idea, however, because the finished product was too fragmented to make sense.
