Gangster shot in bar scam
Police shot dead one man and detained four others after they allegedly attempted to start a protection racket in a karaoke bar in Wenzhou city, Zhejiang province.
The suspects took hostages at knife-point in the unnamed bar in the Lucheng district on Sunday night, demanding managers pay a monthly "protection fee", said a police spokesman.
