Pirates seize Taiwan boat

Somali pirates hijacked a Taiwan fishing vessel and a British cargo ship yesterday, said Andrew Mwangura, the East Africa coordinator for the Africa Seafarers' Assistance Program.

Mwangura could not establish the location of the attack on the Malaspina Castle, a British-owned ship, but said the Taiwan fishing boat MV Win Far 161 was seized near an island in the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean.
