Finland's best-known export is the fashionable Nokia mobile phone but the small northern European nation has another lesser-known brand name becoming popular in China.

In 1976, when Madam Marja Kurki established her one-woman business, she might not expect the scarves, ties and elegant fashion accessories she designed could come to China, the kingdom of silk.

Scarf maker Marja Kurki celebrates its 15th anniversary in China this year and this month releasing its 2009 spring designs.
