Singer Kris Phillips has been popular in China since his appearance on the CCTV Spring Festival variety show in 1987 and so are his songs, especially, The Cloud of Hometown and Winter Fire.
Born in Taiwan but educated in the US, he initially enrolled in medical school until his love for music and opera changed his life.
