Protests enter 2nd week

Anti-government protesters in Thailand rallied outside the Finance Ministry yesterday in a bid to discredit Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva's strategy to lift the country out of its economic crisis.

Several hundred protesters blocked traffic in Bangkok and sang in the streets as they marched to the ministry from Abhisit's office, which thousands of protesters have surrounded for eight days.
