Violence engrained in Argentine soccer

China Daily | Updated: 2009-04-02 08:09

BUENOS AIRES: Racing Club goalkeeper Pablo Migliore acted as if nothing unusual had happened during a recent morning training session.

"We understand that the supporters are angry," he said. "We ask them to support us because we need to be together to get out of this situation.

"We've only taken three points from the last 30 and the players know that we are not doing things right. The opponents can win by playing better than you but not because they run more."
