Montgomerie reaches landmark
PARIS: Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie was preparing to hit another landmark on Thursday with his participation in his 500th European Tour event.
The 45-year-old Scotsman, who has racked up 31 Tour wins as well as over 20 million euros in prize money, was to tee off at the Open de Andalucia in Seville alongside fellow stalwarts Jose Maria Olazabal and Miguel Angel Jimenez.
