US futures rise
US stock-index futures rose after orders for durable goods unexpectedly increased in February, spurring speculation the worst of the recession is over.
Standard & Poor's 500 Index futures expiring in June added 0.4 percent to 806.4 as of 8:42 am in New York. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures gained 0.4 percent to 7,649 and NASDAQ 100 Index futures increased 0.4 percent to 1,241.75.
