Pitcher gets 50-game ban
NEW YORK: San Francisco Giants pitcher Kelvin Pichardo was suspended for 50 games on Monday after testing positive for a banned performance-enhancing substance.
The 23-year-old right-hander from the Dominican Republic violated MLB's drug prevention and treatment program, the baseball commissioner's office said in a statement.
