Tourist to visit space again

China Daily | Updated: 2009-03-25 07:50

Baikonur: US software pioneer Charles Simonyi will tomorrow become the first person in history to travel into space twice as a tourist, in trips costing a total of $60 million.

Simonyi will blast off for the International Space Station from Russia's Baikonur cosmodrome.

The software programmer, one of the pioneers of Microsoft before founding his own firm, has paid a cool $35 million for the trip, up from the $25 million he paid for the April 2007 visit.
