Stocks on a growth trajectory

SHANGHAI: Chinese stocks rose for the sixth consecutive day to close up 1.95 percent yesterday, spurred by shares in automobile, property, and non-ferrous sectors.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index grew 44.39 points to finish at 2325.48, while the smaller Shenzhen Component Index surged 3.18 percent to 8922.52.
The major index has accumulatively risen 9.2 percent in six trading days. And the combined turnover on the two bourses rose moderately 10.7 percent from last Friday to reach 226.6 billion yuan yesterday.
