Factory blast injures 17

At least 17 workers were injured in a workshop blast yesterday in Shuifu county, in Southwest China's Yunnan province, a local work safety official said.

The blast happened at Yunnan Yuntianhua Co Ltd, a leading Chinese chemical fertilizer producer, around noon. The cause of the blast was uncertain, said Zhu Junhong, deputy director of the county work safety bureau.
