Artist refuses to sell works

China Daily | Updated: 2009-03-19 07:22

We respect Wu Guanzhong for donating his best artistic works to public museums, says an article on the website www.people.com.cn. Following is an excerpt:

A recent exhibition of Wu Guanzhong's paintings at the National Art Museum of China featured more than 180 pieces he had previously donated to public museums in Beijing, Shanghai and Singapore.

We can appreciate both his wonderful artistic ability and his refusal to make a commodity of his art.
