政务透明 (zhengwu touming)

Administrative transparency

China has made progress in promoting the transparency of its government administration in recent years. The Information Publication Act of the Government of the People's Republic China took effect on May 1, 2008, making specific provisions for the publication of government affairs. This has given people more rights to know how government regulations and policies are made and implemented. Recently there has been a demand for administrative transparency as to how the country's $586 billion stimulus package will be used.
