Understanding Puccini

Hao Weiya, an associate professor at the Central Conservatory of Music, will open up to audiences the world of Puccini's classic opera La Boheme tomorrow afternoon at the Peking University Centenary Hall.

This event is part of a 30-part lecture program on classic opera that began last November and will continue till June.

Understanding Puccini

The four-act opera made its debut in 1896 on the stage of Turin in Italy. It narrates a story of loss and love, ambition and loyalty, as well as jealousy and sorrow.
