Plea to give disabled the green light to drive

Zhang Haidi submitted a proposal that disabled Chinese people be allowed to drive cars, according to Guangzhou Daily.

Zhang, chairwoman of the China Disabled Persons' Federation, is confined to a wheelchair but can drive a car. In some countries the disabled are even able to drive taxis, said the CPPCC National Committee member.
