Heilongjiang economy beats predictions for record growth

Despite the ongoing problem with the global economy, at least one Chinese province is still performing better than even its most optimistic predictions suggested. The northeastern province of Heilongjiang not only fulfilled its growth expectations in 2008, but, according to many financial indicators, exceeded them.
