European stocks fall
European stocks and US futures fell after Aviva Plc, the biggest UK insurer, reported a loss and Goldman Sachs Group Inc said the global economy is worsening. Shares in Asia advanced.
Europe's Dow Jones Stoxx 600 Index slipped 2.4 percent to 163.63 at 12:32 pm in London. The MSCI Asia Pacific Index rose 0.6 percent, led by construction companies. Mazda Motor Corp, Japan's fourth-largest carmaker, surged as the yen weakened. Futures on the Standard & Poor's 500 Index slid 1.9 percent.
