Water expo opens

Water China 2009 and PVP China 2009, a three-day international exhibition to showcase technology and equipment for the water industry, opened yesterday in Guangdong. About 250 exhibitors from home and abroad are taking part in the event.

The provincial government said recently it will spend more than 40 billion yuan on the water industry before the end of 2012.
