Easier visas for Myanmar

Myanmar is to grant instant visas for tourists entering the country at the border town of Myitkyina by road from Tengchong, Yunnan province.

As part of its bid to promote cross-border tourism with China, Myanmar will also grant the visas for tourists arriving at Myitkyina on chartered flights from Tengchong and other Chinese airports en route to places like Yangon, Mandalay, the ancient city of Bagan and the famous resort of Ngwe Saung.
