Special report : UK school searches Chinese entrepreneurs
One of the UK's leading business colleges has launched a competition aimed at uncovering the next generation of Chinese entrepreneurs. The college, the internationally-renowned Manchester Business School (MBS), has run its Business Innovations Awards in the UK for three years, but has now launched a standalone event exclusively for would-be business leaders in China.
Speaking at the launch of the awards, Nigel Banister, chief global officer and CEO of MBS Worldwide, explained why the business school has now turned its attention to China: "China is very enterprising and we know that small and medium-sized companies are the backbone of the Chinese economy.
"We have seen many entrepreneurial activities taking place in China and we hope this competition will allow us to identify some budding entrepreneurs and help them bring their ideas into commercial reality."
