Lines and curves form landscapes

In his series, The Flowing Pen, Choi Kin-yue uses pen and ink to breathe life into natural landscapes. Using techniques of sketching, gouache, inks and oils, Choi makes full use of lines and curves to capture the texture and nuances of his subjects. His works show the unconventional composition of ink paintings, the realistic approach of oil paintings, the rich color scheme of gouache, and the vein structure of sketches.
