A young soldier sells his soul to the Devil in exchange for a magic book that brings him fame and fortune, but also misery. The soldier, however, discovers a way to trick the Devil and win back his soul. He then finds true love with a princess in a far-off kingdom and is about to live happily ever after ... when the Devil suddenly returns, swearing revenge. Xin Ya Kong Qi Chamber Orchestra (Beijing) presents Igor Stravinsky's The Soldier's Tale, a wonderfully tempting story told through music, narration and more.
