Mother suspected of beating girl to death
A woman was arrested on Wednesday after her 4-year-old daughter died from months of neglect and violence.
The mother Zhang Yi, 27, a Jiangsu province native, allegedly beat the girl with a broomstick and other tools. She said the girl wouldn't call her "mom" or her husband "dad," and she was too naughty and wouldn't study.
