假日经济 (jiari jingji)
Holiday Economy
A kind of economic development model that mainly depends on people's concentrated consumption in extended holidays. With the development of China's economy and the improvement of people's living conditions, the country began a seven-day Golden Week holiday system in September 1999, deciding to extend every year's Spring Festival, Labor Day and National Day to seven days to expand domestic demand. The Golden Week holiday system turned out to be a market boom and a boon for the country's economic development. Labor Day was crossed off from the Golden Week list last year.
