Rice up in price
Rice in Beijing is more expensive today than it has been for five years, a market official said yesterday.
The average price is currently 3.6 yuan (53 cents) per kilogram, up from 3.3 yuan last year, Liu Tong, head of the statistics office at Xinfadi market, the city's largest farm produce market, said.
